Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to thank you for reading this blog, I have a hard time believing that there is more than just me reading it. I do appreciate your support and willingness to want to know what goes on behind the scenes of our shop and into our life!  We have lots of fun things happening in the next little while, Mother's day is coming up! So, if you are a mother, or need a gift for another mother in your life.

Here are some ideas to help jump start your gift-giving for the upcoming holiday!

|| Flowers ||
If any of you are like me, I love flowers. Especially those that remind me of spring time! Flowers are so simple and but so thoughtful to give to any mother this mother's day.

I love this journal for mothers with children or grandchildren, We have some customers buy this journal for others or if they can't bear without it-they keep it for themselves. It's the perfect gift to write down those enjoyable moments of when you're children say some pretty sassy or funny things.

I love this journal for having in your bag when you're searching around for something to write down the perfect thing you found at your favorite store. Or for the upcoming birthday that you need to make a list of "wants". This dear little notebook will solve all of your list making woes.

This is a lovely journal to give to another mom to add encouragement to her chaotic life. A perfect journal to find that quiet time to collect her thoughts or to do her morning devotions in. It would be quite the compliment to receive this journal-because the motivational scripture verse!

Remember to keep our shop in mind when you're shopping for your mother's day present! We have lots to chose from, with affordable prices! We ship to Canada & USA only!

My Non-Stop Job

Happy Tuesday!

We have had a lovely weekend with my parents, they are so much fun to be around-we are always laughing, and joking around. They travelled almost 10 hours to be here this weekend, to check out our home and be our first overnight guests so far. We absolutely loved the weekend, so thankful for them to be here. It was a little sad this morning, we all cried, and wished we lived closer. At times I wish we could pick up our house and move it around family. It's hard to always miss them and not be able to have a weekly visit, but that's where phone calls come in!

I've had some people ask me sneaky little questions, trying to figure out what I do with all my time. When my husband Nathan leaves in the morning for his job, I start mine. From when I wake up in the morning to when I fall asleep, Diabetes is on my mind. I have to always be thinking what did I eat, what will I eat, how were my blood sugar levels so far, do I exercise or not, if I do exercise will I have a low, there is always something with diabetes on my mind throughout the whole day. Each meal I get to make the meal, write down what I'm eating, test my blood sugar, count all the carbs, do the carb ratio to insulin, take the allotted amount of insulin to carbs. It's a lot. It's a non-stop, way of life.

I would say my Etsy Shop is my passion. It's what I love to do, bring people happiness, and relive the old fashioned way of writing everything down. I love writing in journals, and I enjoy having my hand lettered handwriting on the journals I sell. I love coming up with new designs, and new ways to expand.

We have some top secret ways to expand our Etsy Shop, stay with us to find out!

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Inspired & Wish List Journal

Hey All!

We have had another busy week! Whether it being: unpacking all our goods in our new home, getting custom orders done, it has been a lovely week! It is tricky to balance all that life brings. But it's also really exciting for me. I apologize for not posting more often!

I've been inspired lately by things around me, the weather has been wonderful! Feeling the sunshine on my little toes, or being able to go out without bundling up has been so lovely! This sounds a little crazy, but having my house in some-what of an order is great, makes me feel like I can do more than just unpacking and organizing.

This is one of our new journals this week, I love it for bring shopping or online shopping! To use for when I would love to buy everything, but simply just can't, so write it down the old fashioned way, and leave it around the house so someone else can read it and get a few hints for birthdays & anniversaries! Yay!

I L-O-V-E to hear from our customers! I'm so glad people love our products as much we do!

FanChimp.

Hello Everyone!

We've started with a free trial for FanChimp. What is it? FanChimp is a social media marketing tool for any small business. It combines your favourite blogs and recommends the best content to share with followers and fans.

I'm struggling with the marketing side of things, being inconsistent is my hugest issue. Things come up in my personal life, and I forget all about my blog, Instagram and all the other platforms. I've been trying to come up with a way where I remember, but hey-sometimes I even forget the silliest little things. So this is where FanChimp comes into play! I'm hoping this ends all the inconsistently and forgetful Hannah. The nice thing is that it doesn't cover Instagram posts-YAY! So, I can still be creative and post on our Instagram, that's pretty exciting to me!

On the personal note, we are all moved into our new home, it's little and adorable. I'm having lots of fun decorating, thinking of paint colors, and actually painting. So far, I've painted the front door (both sides) mint green! Yay! We have our cute little studio/room ready to create some really cute things for our Etsy Shop! Having to take a break from all things Etsy, I am excited to get back into it again!

Here's a little peak at our studio/creative room, hope you enjoy!

Happy Monday!

Hi Friends!

We had a lovely weekend, packing everything up (now that the countdown is on!), spending time with family was lovely, hearing my husband preach on Sunday about our difficulties with my diagnosis of diabetes || type 1 || in the past little while was wonderful, it's so nice to have the support of others around us, and feel cared for!

We love doing custom orders, but some are very stressful for me-because I want to get the journal exactly what the person was thinking. I want to get inside their brain and deliver! But it's something I want to keep doing, so I get better and better about asking the right questions or becoming more professional about the order.

I love the online side of Etsy, it's so crazy to think that this is actually working, or that people are finding my products-loving them as much as I do, and buying them.

I love hearing the feedback of a successful sell. A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to sell one of my journals to a very loving husband for an anniversary present. He purchased a travel journal and for the first time I got to wrap it in ribbon and do a personal message attached. It was so fun planning it with him! Hearing back from him, that she loved it.

His original quote was this:
"Thanks for the timely shipping and the note card! My wifey totally loved the surprise and being a fan of handmade items, it's a treasure"

I love hearing about the different stories of what customers use our products for and for who! It inspires me to do more, and to create more products that I think others will love and use. Speaking of creating more things I love and that others will love too, here's a new journal I put together last night. and here is where to purchase this lovely one. You can also follow us on Twitter & Instagram for more information and pictures of what we're up to!

Take care,

Hannah
